Just a small background on me:I have been camping as long as I’ve been breathing, I grew up with parents who loved the idea of packing up me and my sisters on any given weekend and taking off to who knows where, the beach, the mountains, a small park in the next county, just wherever. My Father was involved in Scouting for almost 22 years, so he knew a few things about camp cooking and dutch ovens, he taught me some of the things I cherish today. In the late 1990’s I moved to Davis County Utah, huge in the art of dutch oven cooking. I spent the next year there and was re-introduced to using dutch ovens, and the proper way to maintain them. I learned a few recipes and went to a few cook offs. after moving back to the east coast in 2000 I did little with my knowledge until about a year or so ago when a friend of mine and long time driving partner got his first dutch oven, then I was into it again. Now I am committed to helping others in this area gain a love for the style of cooking that pioneered the United States, thus, here is my website. I’m not here to sell anything, you won’t find items for sale or trade here (except for on the forums). I want to encourage people everywhere, not just in North Carolina, to become acquainted with the cooking methods of our forefathers.
